     The 7th International Conference on Evolvable Systems: From Biology to Hardware (ICES 2007) will be held on September 21-23, 2007 at Wuhan, China.

     The inaugural workshop, Towards Evolvable Hardware, took place in Lausanne in October 1995, followed by the successive events of the International Conference on Evolvable Systems: From Biology to Hardware, held in Tsukuba (Japan) in October 1996, in Lausanne (Switzerland) in September 1998, in Edinburgh (United Kingdom) in April 2000, in Tokyo (Japan) in October 2001, in Trondheim (Norway) in March 2003, and in Barcelona (Spain) in September 2005.

     Following the successful of these past events, ICES 2007 will address the theme "From Laboratory to Real World" by explaining how to shorten the gap between evolvable hardware research and design for real-world applications. Cross-fertilization of evolvable hardware, intelligent computation and newly emerging technologies is strongly encouraged. It will feature world-renowned plenary speakers, state-of-the-art special sessions, regular technical sessions, poster interactions, and entertaining social activities.
