  袁鹤翔， 台湾东吴大学谢东闵讲座教授。历任台湾大学、政治大学、中正大学客座教授，、中正大学外文研究所创所所长及文学语言研究中心主任、文学院院长、香港中文大学英文系教授、系主任、香港比较文学会创始会长、会长等。有丰富的教学经验和宽阔的跨文化研究视野， 是国内国际比较文学和英国文学教学界及研究界的著名前辈学者。
 
  主要学术论著有：The Force of Vision: Inter-Asian Comparative Literature (co-author),《中西比较文学言论集》（合編）, China and the West: Comparative Literature Studies（co-author）; 发表论文 “Through a Looking Glass: Change and Continuity of English Studies in a Modern Scene” , “Genre and Canon: An Inquiry into the Comparative Study of Chinese and Western Literature”, “From Cultural Relativism to Cultural Respect” 等若干篇。
