Process tomography (PT) refers to fast and non-intrusive tomographic imaging systems that take measurements around the periphery of a domain to determine the material distribution inside. The inside features that can be monitored by PT are frequently encountered in the design of process and industrial plants in the fields of the chemical, oil, power and metallurgical industries as well as many other activities such as food and material handling and combustion systems.
过程层析成像（PT）主要指快速、非侵入式层析成像系统，其经过区域外围的测量就能够确定内部物质分布。在石油、化工、能源、冶金等行业的过程设计及工业生产中经常会应用到PT监测技术。该技术也可以应用于粮食、物料的输送和燃烧系统。
